Course Objectives

Aim of the course is to provide the student with the basics informations cancer cell development and progression, and on cancer prevention

Course Prerequisites

Basics of biology, biochemistry and phisiology

Teaching Methods

Frontal teaching with the use of slides integrated by texts of each class

Teaching materials (slides and text) will be available at the end of each class

Contents

The course will deal with the basics of oncology: mechanisms of cancerogenesis, hallmarks of cancer cells, mechanism of metastasis, basics on epidemiology principles of cancer prevention, principes of cancer treatment
