Course Prerequisites

To access the course of "Contempory Interiors" it is required to pass the preparatory exams of "Interior design 1" and "Interior design 2", and it is recommended to attend and pass the exams of "Product design 2" and "Design of Communication 2 ".

Teaching Methods

The course is organized in: ex-cathedra lessons; individual exercises with ongoing assessments; collective reviews and one-to-one meetings; meetings with companies.

Assessment Methods

The module includes three evaluations with ongoing judgment: 1st evaluation for the strategic analysis and the Brief of the set-up system; 2nd evaluation for the Concept; 3rd evaluation for the concept development. The examination session consists in the presentation of the results of the last phase of the project relating to the concept development and in the critical discussion of the overall results of the design experience. The individual judgment at the end of the module (insufficient, sufficient, good, excellent) contributes, with the final judgments obtained in the modules of Materials and production technologies and Semiotics for design, to the determination of the final evaluation. The individual judgment at the end of the module, formulated by the teacher, will be considered as the entry condition for the evaluation of the examination of the Interior design Laboratory B. The verification of the skills acquired competes in an integrated way with the various training activities through a single exam of "Interior Design Laboratory B" with the commission composed of the teachers in charge of the three teaching modules. The test is based on the critical discussion of the innovative solutions of the staging systems and on the finalization of the knowledge acquired in the various teaching modules to the project.
