Course Objectives

The CLIMATE ADAPTATION LABORATORY B aims to provide the theoretical and operational tools for urban and environmental analysis of a portion of city. In particular, to identify environmental and climate issues and to make a program of interventions for adaptation to climate change. It aims to provide basic knowledge about comfort indices within the context of climate change, their calculation, and the understanding of the heat island and its assessment through software tools made available to students. The goal will be to provide an understanding of the fundamental principles of comfort indices so that they can support planning activities. In addition, introductory notions will be provided about the retrieval and generation of current and forecast climate files, to be used in support of planning activities.
