The workshop is divided into 24 hours of lectures and 51 hours of individual exercises on site. All phases are followed and supported by the presence of the teacher and collaborators in the teaching. The library of the Department is a useful support for specific documentation and for the analysis of the contexts of origin of the finds, on the dating, etc...The equipment included in the Archaeological Laboratory of the Department (DiSPuTer), such as screen and overhead projector, computer and other computer media. The laboratory is also equipped with professional equipment for restoration, which can guarantee interventions and procedures in compliance with the provisions of the ministerial bodies responsible for the protection of cultural heritage.

The allocation of credits takes place at 70% of the expected laboratory hours. The final suitability is also obtained with the evaluation of the result of the restoration and conservation of an archaeological find, documented by the compilation of a graphic and photographic card, the subject of an oral examination.
