Syllabus

Course Objectives


The course aims to provide students with the basic knowledge and methodology for the study of Private and Public Economics Law, providing a key to understanding the interdependencies that exist between institutions and the market and between legal and economic rules.
To achieve these objectives, the analysis of the main instruments of Private and Public Economics Law is offered; these instruments are functional to the discipline of market dynamics, from the perspective of the single operator and the general one of the economic-financial system.

EXPECTED LEARNING RESULTS KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

At the end of the course the students will be in possession of the cognitive tools for:
- analytically evaluate the institutes and the juridical disciplines studied and the interdependencies existing between the public and private institutions and the market;
- assess the interconnections between legal and economic rules.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

At the end of the course students will be able to:
- identify / develop connections between the various institutes of Private and Public Economics Law, functional to the discipline of market dynamics;
- apply the knowledge acquired for a correct discipline of the main cases of Private and Public Economics Law.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

At the end of the course the students will have acquired the following communication skills:
- know how to use the technical-legal language in an adequate manner;
- rigorously expose and discuss the institutes and legal disciplines studied.

Teaching Methods


Frontal lessons. Exercises.
The lectures will focus on theoretical topics and will be carried out by the teacher.
Attendance is optional, but recommended.

Assessment Methods


Oral examination.

Learning assessment procedures: the verification of the learning will be carried out through an oral exam, composed of 6/7 questions aimed at verifying the knowledge of the reference material, as well as the ability to understand, autonomy of judgment and communication skills. To this end, particular attention will be paid to the appropriateness of the language used, the ability to establish links between different but interconnected topics and the ability to interact critically on the topics proposed by the teacher.
The oral exam will be evaluated with a score expressed in thirtieths.

For the preparation it is essential to use an updated civil code, with the Constitution, the U.E. and C.E. treaties and the main complementary rules.

Contents


The course, lasting six months, is divided into two didactic modules, one of a private nature and the other of a publicistic nature.
The first module is dedicated to the study of private law institutes that have a privileged connection with the problems related to economic and business sciences.
The second module deals with the general issues of Public Economy Law in the light of constitutional principles and the correlation link between the rule of law and market economy.
