Syllabus

Course Objectives

The teaching aims at acquiring the logical tools deemed
indispensable for understanding economic theory, emphasizing
also highlighting the pluralism of ideas in a context aimed at valuing
diverse visions.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES.
*KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
The student/student at the end of the course will be able to:
-recognize the peculiarities of the historical periods considered, identifying their
schools of economic thought.
-refer to the aspects and particularities of the economic theories analyzed,
- use appropriate and relevant terminology.

*ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
The student/student upon completion of the course will be able to:
-identify the influences of economic theories in the historical development of
modern and contemporary economic systems.
*COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
At the end of the course, the student/student will have acquired the ability
communicative skills suitable to expound and discuss also critically the thought
of economists and the theories of the major schools of thought analyzed.
LEARNING SKILLS.
At the end of the course the student/student will have acquired autonomy
in the learning and development of knowledge to be employed both
to entry into the work environment and in the continuation of studies.
The ability to learn is acquired and developed through
participation, including interactive participation in traditional classroom lectures.
*AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
At the end of the course, the student/student will be able to make
autonomous judgments with respect to what has been learned during the lectures. The
student/student will be able to understand theories
economics, interpreting them critically with respect to different historical moments
history. Verification of these skills will be carried out in examinations of profit.

Teaching Methods

The teaching is divided into 36 hours of frontal teaching which will have
for subject theoretical topics developed by the teacher.

Assessment Methods

The verification of the students' preparation will take place through a
interview (oral exam) on the topics covered by the teaching. The
evaluation will be expressed out of thirty.
Students will be able to access the exam sessions after registering online
registration.

Contents

The History of Economic Thought course analyzes evolution
of economic science from the preclassical period to recent developments
of the contemporary age.
The following topics will be addressed in more detail: the economy
preclassical; classical and neoclassical economic thought; the thought
heterodox economic; recent developments in economic thought.
