Course Objectives

The teaching aims to acquire the knowledge deemed necessary for
understanding the history and economics of sustainable tourism,
highlighting its
highlight its dynamics, aspects and critical issues.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
*KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
The student/student upon completion of the course will be able to:
-recognize the types of tourism that have emerged over the centuries,
identifying their modes and economic effects.
-refer to the aspects and particularities of sustainable tourism,
- use appropriate and relevant terminology.
*ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
The student/student at the end of the course will be able to:
-identify the evolution of the historical development of the tourism sector
and its reflections in local and national economies.
*COMMUNICATION SKILLS
At the end of the course the student/student will have acquired the ability
communicative ability to expose and discuss, also in a critical way, the
historical evolution of tourism and the effects produced in the relevant
economic context, with particular attention to sustainable tourism.
* ABILITY TO LEARN
At the end of the course, the student/student will have acquired
autonomy
in the learning and development of knowledge to be employed both
to entry into the work environment and in the continuation of studies.
The ability to learn is acquired and developed through
participation, including interactive participation, in traditional classroom
lectures.
*AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
Upon completion of the course, the student/student will be able to make
autonomous judgments with respect to what has been learned during the
lectures. The

are established. He/she will also be able to relate knowledge and
dynamics of sustainable tourism. Verification of these skills will be carried
out in examinations of
profit.

Teaching Methods

The course is divided into 36 hours of frontal teaching which will cover
theoretical topics developed by the teacher.
Attendance is optional, but recommended.

Assessment Methods

Type of examination: oral
Method of verifying learning
The verification of learning will be carried out through an oral test,
consisting of questions aimed at verifying the knowledge of the topics
under examination, as well as the ability to understand, autonomy of
judgment and communication skills. The assessment will consider the
appropriate use of language, the ability to make connections between
different topics and the ability to interact critically on the topics proposed
by the lecturer. The oral examination will be assessed by a score
expressed in thirtieths. A mark from 0 to 17 expresses an insufficient
test, lacking the minimum elements as regards knowledge of the
discipline and the ability to identify the routes and types of tourism, the
economic aspect of the sector with particular reference to the dynamics
and historical-economic effects of sustainable tourism. For tests that are
at least sufficient, assessment will be based on the achievement of each
of the expected learning objectives and all the expected learning
outcomes, according to the following scale: score of 18: sufficient; 19-22:
more than sufficient; 23-26: good; 27-29: very good; 30: excellent.
Honours is awarded when the examination, with the highest mark,
consists of answers expressing an excellent level of independent
judgement, communication skills and learning ability.
The assessment will be expressed in thirtieths.
Students may access the examination sessions after regular online
registration.

Contents

The teaching of History and Economics of Sustainable Tourism analyzes
the historical-economic evolution of the tourism sector with a focus on
the typicalities of sustainable tourism.
