Syllabus
Course Objectives
The course aims to develop an adequate knowledge of morphosyntactic structures and of communication strategies, necessary to communicate independently in the different contexts of everyday life (home, school, work, leisure time), expressing own point of view, evaluating facts and situations, making proposals. In particular, it tends to develop the ability to understand / produce regulatory, descriptive and narrative texts, as well as the introduction to the comprehension / production of the argumentative text. Translation techniques to and from the Russian language of medium complexity sentences will also be developed, as a prerequisite for dialogical interpretation. Students must be able to understand, translate and report in written and oral texts of medium difficulty on topics of daily life, on some aspects of Russian cultural, social and economic reality, on the many situations that may arise traveling.

The achievement of the first year training objectives.
Teaching Methods
The course includes 300 hours, divided as follows: 72 hours of lectures with the teacher + 228 hours of self-learning and homeworks + 80 hours practice with the CEL. 6 cfu will be teached by Camilla Licari and 6 by Maria Chiara Ferro. The teaching method combines communicative approach, group work, description of grammar after the students' autonomous preparation on new contents, fixation, consolidation and translation activities. During the year will be used multimedia (computer screenings, films, audio recordings) and authentic materials (magazines and publications in language). The course consists of the following parts, which will focus on the entire academic year: Phonetics and intonation; Intermediate level vocabulary and morphosyntax; Comprehension and production of written texts; Comprehension and production of oral texts; Word formation (slovoobrazovanie) and lexical enrichment. The lessons of the first semester will be given by Prof. C. Licari, those of the second by Prof. M.C. Ferro.
Assessment Methods
The final examination tests both the contents introduced by the lecturer and those practised with the CEL.
The usual methods of verification are: For attending students there are 2 tests during the year, consisting in:
Grammar test, listening, written composition, comprehension of the written text in Russian, vocabulary exercises.
The passing of the 2 tests allows the direct admission to the oral exam.
There are no forms of recovery of failed tests. The oral exam consists of: - reading, morphosyntactic analysis and sight translation of a brief text in Russian; - explanation in Italian of a topic of morphosyntax (also for students of Russian mother tongue); - conversation on the topics related to the readings taken from MIR TESEN. For those students who have not passed the tests during the year, for not attending students and for the FC there will be a final written exam and an oral one of the same type. The written exam is valid for three sessions. The student can choose to take the oral exam in the same session of the written exam or in one of the following two. Assessment The written and oral exam is evaluated in thirtieths, making the average of the marks obtained in the two parts.

Contents
The course includes the consolidation of the linguistic structures introduced in the first year, the progress in the study of morphology and syntax, lexical and stylistic enrichment through the reading and analysis of text of intermediate complexity. The description of the morphosyntactic contents will be supported by translation exercises of simple sentences from the Russian language to the Italian language and vice versa. The skills of comprehension and oral and written production will also be developed through appropriate lexical enrichment and through the introduction of formulas and communication clichés necessary for intertextual cohesion.

The linguistic practice carried out by the CEL are an integral part of the course. Attendance of lessons is strongly recommended. Russian speaking students and working students are required to make contact with the teachers at the beginning of the course. Students OUT OF COURSE must refer to this program. Tutoring hours: once a week during the entire teaching period. L11 The students of Russian Language II (L11), borrowing the course from L12, have to assimilate the contents of the program carried out in the first 48 hours of frontal lessons + 152 of self-learning, corresponding to 8 CFU.
