Course Objectives

The course aims to provide biomedical engineering students with a comprehensive understanding of robotic surgical techniques, the operation of surgical robots, and the instruments used in this field. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand the basic principles of robotic surgery, its clinical applications, and the engineering challenges associated with the design and use of robotic systems in surgery.

Teaching Methods

The lectures will be conducted using an interactive method, meaning that simulated scenarios will be presented from time to time.Access to the operating room and small group exercises may also be organized to allow participants to directly familiarize themselves with various technologies and surgical devices in the field.

Assessment Methods

The assessment will consist of a written exam with 10 multiple-choice questions covering the topics discussed in lectures and practical exercises.The final grade is expressed on a scale of thirt
