Syllabus

Course Objectives


Provide the student with:


The methodological tools of hygiene and epidemiology necessary to promote individual health and implement dental prevention programs in the community;

Basic knowledge of the epidemiology of diseases relevant to dentistry and their prevention strategies;

Notions about the operational structures of the National Health Service, Local Health Authorities, and health planning and programming.

Course Prerequisites


As per the academic regulations.

Teaching Methods


The course is organized into 2-hour frontal lectures according to the academic calendar. The lessons include a strong interactive component between the instructor and the students.Attendance is mandatory.

Assessment Methods


Oral exam: The student must demonstrate their preparation by clearly and systematically addressing the topics requested by the instructor.Evaluation will be conducted using a grading scale out of thirty.
