Course Objectives

To provide the students with knowledge on diagnosis and treatment of the most common neonatal diseases; in addition, the most common special clinical problems of the newborns will be presented.

Course Prerequisites

The students must have knowledge of physiology, pathology and pharmacology, in order to get a correct approach to the most common clinical problems in newborns.

The students will have the opportunity to visit the Department of Neonatology in Chieti and in Pescara, in order to see how a Neonatal Ward is organized and to observe the most common clinical problems of the newborns.
