EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the course the student, as far as he is competent, will be able to: i) know the pharmacological basis of the therapy; ii) know the active ingredients and their biological properties contained in those plant species mainly used in the dietetic, pharmaceutical and voluptuary fields, iii) know the main drugs used in eating disorders, metabolism and gastrointestinal tract iv) know the main interactions between drugs, supplements and nutrients. The course will help to provide the student with tools that will enable him to improve his skills in relating to other professional figures (doctors, nurses, psychologists) who, in an increasingly multidisciplinary approach, will be called to take care of the patient.
Finally, the student will be induced to ameliorate his/her skills for an independent study and will acquire the functional methodological tools for an autonomous update.
