Contents

The course deals with the study of architectural barriers and the design and technological solutions to overcome them in order to guarantee accessibility in autonomy and safety to spaces, equipment and furnishings for all people.
Existing residential and work buildings must foresee or be able to implement solutions for a free, comfortable and safe use of spaces by the different categories of users while favouring orientation and recognisability of places even in dangerous situations. The concepts of comfort and safety will be integrated with those of accessibility and usability, placing the need for personal autonomy at the centre of the design dimension.
