Course Objectives

The course aims to provide knowledge relating to the correct classification and management of pregnant women and newborns at risk

Teaching Methods

The teaching is structured in 15 hours of frontal teaching, divided into lessons of 2, 3 or 4 hours according to the academic calendar. The frontal teaching consists of theoretical lessons and seminars held by experts on the topics covered as well as

video projections,

discussion of clinical cases, division of learners into working groups with PBL method (problem based learning)

Attendance is expected for at least 75% of the teaching activity.

Assessment Methods

The assessment of the students' preparation will take place by carrying out an oral test aimed at ascertaining the successful learning, conceptual mastery, language properties as well as the ability to interpret and synthesise the acquired medical knowledge.

The newborn of a mother with gestational diabetes, hypertension, intrauterine growth retardation.
