Overview

Date/time interval

Primo Quadrimestre (02/10/2025 - 02/12/2025)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

To educate and train an analyst and designer in research based policy modeling according the the famous politological motto research determines policy , policy determines politics by balancing behavioral observation , phenomenological listening and complex constructivist design

Course Prerequisites

No mandatory skills required. Amateur skills in photography and filmaking ( by smrtphone or equivalent is enough ) and amateeur skills in web/blog designing preferred.

Teaching Methods

Lectures, tutorials , simulations and also classroom work to partially develop the SBPW mentioned in the previous point, SBPW that will be completed as homework and then pTrain high-tech knowledge designers who can manage complex intangible processes within a type of design that can be structured as follows, which also becomes the mode of examination as more below:
STRUCTURE BASE PROJECT WORK ( (SBPW) for “ Diagnostics” ( 1 to 6 ) and Therapy (7) in complex organizations and complex phenomena where the ethical-data relationship is srategic.
1 Background or scenario analysis ( LEDDET four-phase cycle: legislative expansion, demographics, development, technology)
2 Strategic goal and related tactical objectives of the project
3 The Conceptual Logic ( Epistemology and Theory).
The Methodological String connecting 3 to 6 :
concept ( as a position in a theoretical system and container of data )- operational definition- indicators- variables
4 The Methodological Design of the Research.
Validity, comparability , compatibility, reliability and convergence
5 Technical tools adopted and operational work
Internal consistency between collection tools and processing tools
6 Empirical Generalizations
7 Guidelines for Policy Modeling
8 Bibliography American-style notation)
For MA/ M.A. 35,000 characters including spaces excluding bibliography for individual project. The 'topic is the student's choice as long as it is consistent with the examination program and firmly anchored to it by notation and bibliography presented orally on the day of the appeal .

Assessment Methods

Individual / Team project work + colloquium / interview.
As mentioned above , the examination consists of a written test in the form of individual project work, the structure of which is set out above in the “teaching methods” section, and an oral interview. The project work will give a chance to land up to maximum 25/30 and the oral interview to get up to a maximum of 10/30 and, where possible by score , even honors. Example : I scored 18/30 on the project work , I can , by the oral, at most aspire to 28/30 total . I scored 25/30 on the project work , with only 5/30 and a very good presentation I could also get honors . The oral colloquium will in fact be about the presentation of the project for those who have obtained at least 18/30 in the project work . for those who have obtained 7/30 or less in the project work will be rejection, those who have obtained between 8/30 and 17/30 in the project work will still be admitted to the oral exam, which will focus not only on the presentation of the project work but also on at least three questions directly on the volumes as per the sylabus.

The origins and evolution of human behavior studies (BS) belong to both psychology and sociology, the former on a micro scale and the latter on a macro scale. According to a four-dimensional evolutionary process that is shaped as follows : psychosocial-micro-meso-macro , in ascending order
This course focuses mainly on the macro scale while still considering the evolutionary process tout court.
Sociology has generated two important spin offs: political science and communication science, both of which have influenced BS. Their applications occur in two specific fields:
global intelligence studies (including terrorism/antiterrorism and military strategies) on the one hand, and the political behavior of the masses on the other, a case in point being campaign planning and manipulation of public opinion.
The micro aspects focus on the behavior of "guinea pigs" in a small and well delineated box, the macro aspects, on the other hand, focus on the design and construction of large and not well delineated boxes in which "guinea pigs" can move around (think, for example, of the legal rules and procedures of elections and the media representation of different parties' campaigns).
Therefore, in this perspective, the sociological evolutionary process meets:
(a) psychology to analyze how the engineering of souls (Chacotin) takes shape at both the micro and macro level
(b) human ethology to study the (not so relevant) differences between animal and human behavior (Eibl Eibelsfeldt)
(c) biology corresponding to sociobiology (Wilson).
How then does behavioral evolution leading to action occur? How does heterodirected, externally manipulated behavior evolve into cognitive, contrite, self-referential, and autopoietic action? A first answer suggests that re indispensable dimensions are involved 1 Behavioral observation ( non intrusive and non participatory ), 2 empathic phenomenological listening ( e.g., through semi-structured interviews with photoelicitation ) 3 the constructivist design of both setting and context , since a properly experimental approach is not possible in the social-political sciences do testing in coeteris paribus.
