Overview

Date/time interval

Primo Semestre (07/10/2025 - 31/01/2026)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, students should have a three-dimensional understanding of the human body and be able to comprehensively describe its structural organization, as well as the relationships among its various anatomical structures, using correct terminology. The course will primarily adopt a systematic approach, focusing on studying the individual organ systems into which the human body is subdivided, followed by an in-depth examination of the organs and viscera that comprise these systems. Whenever possible, the material learned will be supplemented with aspects of functional anatomy and clinical anatomy, to avoid an excessively compartmentalized view of the subject.

Course Prerequisites

Basic elements of biology and histology
To have completed the Additional Formation Offer (OFA) if indicated.

Teaching Methods

The Human Anatomy course involves 50 hours of classroom teaching, corresponding to 5 CFU. The lecturer uses PowerPoint presentations featuring information and images taken from the recommended textbooks during the lectures. Additionally, selected videos may be shown to provide a more in-depth exploration of certain topics and descriptions

Assessment Methods

The exam consists of a written multiple-choice test with 30 questions covering the content of the Human Anatomy module. Each question has 5 possible answers, only one of which is correct. Each correct answer is worth 1 point, while incorrect or unanswered questions are worth 0 points. The exam lasts 60 minutes. A minimum score of 18 out of 30 is required to pass. If the score is below 18, the test is considered insufficient and must be retaken. The final grade is recorded based on the weighted average of the grades obtained in the exams for the courses within the integrated program.

Should students have specific and well-founded requests, other forms of assessment may be considered (oral exam, written exam with open-ended questions).

ANATOMIA UMANA. F. H. Martini, R. B. Tallitsch, J. L. Nath. EdiSES

Contents

The Human Anatomy course is structured into 5 CFU (university credits), for a total of 50 hours of lectures. The program focuses on the study of the systems and apparatuses that make up the human body, with particular attention to the location of the organs and the relationships they establish among themselves and with the surrounding structures
