Syllabus

Course Objectives

The course's objective is the description of inorganic pigments in cosmetics:
structure, action, and use. The chemical basics will be maily addressed on the chemistry of metal complexes, and on the mechanisms responsible of the absorbance and/or emission of the electromagnetic radiations. The second of the course will focus several inorganic pigments and solar protections.

Contents

The course can be outlined as follow:

1) Introduction: chemical basics of the mechanisms underlying the action of inorganic pigments in cosmetics.
