Syllabus

Course Objectives


The aim of the course is to advance students from level B2.1 (reached at the end of the three-year course) to level B2.2/C1.1 of the CEFR. In particular, the educational objectives of the course include: - Complete mastery of all grammatical structures (morphological and syntactic) of Russian language.- The acquisition of a high level lexical competence. - The acquisition of some disciplinary lexicons. - The understanding of specialized articles, from which to draw the main information. - The understanding of long and complex texts, with the identification of relevant information. - The development of specialist translation skills from Russian into Italian and from Italian into Russian.

Course Prerequisites


Knowledge of Russian language at the level B2 (after ending three years of studies L11-L12).

Teaching Methods


Frontal lessons of the teacher with the use of multimedia material. The language practice, carried out by the mother tongue CEL, for 70 hours per year, is an integral part of the course.

IT-RU translation of complex sentences.

The exam materials will be tailored to the text types and vocabulary introduced in class.




The oral exam, accessed after the written examination, consists of:



a conversation in Russian with the CEL;
an oral comment and analysis of a text in Russian;
conversation in Russian on the contents of the theoretical materials about lexicography and discourse typologies.

Contents


The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and methodological tools necessary for the following activities: translation, production, stylistic analysis of the vocabulary of texts of various genres with a view to enhancing language skills and the ability to understand, analyse and translate the Russian text. Attention will be paid to different language registers and lexical enrichment. The programme consists of 4 modules- Consolidation of morphosyntactic structures of level B2:- Introduction to lexicological analysis;- Syntactic and phrasal synonymy;- Russian-Italian translation.
