Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide the interpretative bases for analyzing the main phenomena of human activity on the territory.
In particular, the systemic correlations of environmental, economic, political, cultural and social factors will be highlighted.
Particular attention will be given to the geography of languages as a key element in the characterization of cultural identities and to the recent trends in globalization and its geographical effects

Course Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites to take the examination

Teaching Methods

Lectures in the classroom supported by the use of slides.
The organization of seminars about some specific topics is expected.

Assessment Methods

The final examination is based on an oral interview aimed to certify the comprehension of the topics addressed during the course and as presented in the study program.
Furthermore, the assessment is proposed to verify the ability to organize in a discursive and systemic way the acquired knowledge and the capacity to produce a critical debate on various case studies.
The expression is provided through marks expressed in thirtieths.
It is possible to pass the examination with honours.
