LIME22 - ENGLISH LABORATORY OF MATHEMATICS FOR ECONOMICS

The Laboratory is designed to provide the appropriate mathematical tools for economic analysis. Topics covered include the study of one and more variable functions, game theory and financial calculus.


Expected learning outcomes:


1) Knowledge and understanding. At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand in depth the functions of one and more variables, identify the main types of equilibrium in game theory, use the essential elements of financial calculation


2) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding. At the end of the course, the student will be able to rigorously exploit some of the main mathematical tools, especially useful in the economic field.


3) Making judgements. At the end of the teaching activities the student must be able to acquire independent judgment in the formulation and modeling of problems of economic and financial nature.


4) Communication skills. At the end of the course, students will be able to use mathematical language adequately, and to rigorously expose and discuss the mathematical relationships underlying economic models.
