Syllabus

Course Objectives

Knowledge of the history of psychology and the main theories.
Knowledge of the main functions: intelligence, learning, emotions, memory, cognitive system, motivation.
The sick person and his psychological aspects; the health worker - patient - caregiver relationship; the social network and implications in the care path.
Effective communication strategies. Use of kindness.
Conflict management with patients and operators.
The psychology of pain and the skills of the nurse.
Behavioral management of patients with dementia.
