Syllabus

Course Objectives

At the end of the course, students should have acquired a three-dimensional representation of the human body, including itssurface characteristics and internal organization, with particular attention to the pelvic area. The approach will be predominantly systematic, based on the study of the individual systems that make up the human bodyand therefore of the organs and viscera that constitute these systems, with particular attention to the female genital system. At the same time, students will be provided with the basic notions for a topographical study of human anatomy, takinginto consideration the major regions of the body to better evaluate the relationships between organs, viscera, and connective tissue, particularly in the pelvic area. Organs and viscera will be considered in their macroscopic and microscopic structural characteristics, also with the aid of anatomical models and microscopic anatomy. The acquired knowledge will finally be integrated with elements of functional anatomy and clinical anatomy.

Course Prerequisites

Having fulfilled the Additional Training Offer (OFA), if indicated.

Teaching Methods

Traditional lectures encourage interactivity through the use of anatomical models and classroom discussions.

Assessment Methods

The multiple-choice exam consists of 15-30 questions and an oral exam. A prerequisite for passing the exam isanswering at least 60% of the questions. The grade is calculated by multiplying the number of correct answers to calculate the weightedaverage. The questions are prepared by the teacher during the relevant academic year.
