Overview

Date/time interval

Primo Semestre (07/10/2025 - 31/12/2026)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

At the end of the module, the student must have acquired a three-dimensional representation of the human body and the ability to describe in an essential, complete, and accurate way the structural organization and relationships between the anatomical structures. The approach will be predominantly systematic, based on the study of the individual systems and apparatuses into which the human body can be divided, and therefore of the organs and viscera that constitute these systems and apparatuses. At the same time, the student will be provided with the basic concepts for a topographic study of Human Anatomy, taking into consideration the major regions of the body, to better assess the relationships between organs and viscera in each area. The concepts learned, when possible, will finally be integrated with elements of functional anatomy and clinical anatomy to avoid a too sectorial vision of the subject.

Course Prerequisites

To have completed the Additional Formation Offer (OFA) if indicated.
Basic elements of biology and histology

Teaching Methods

The course of Human Anatomy is organized into 16-hour frontal lectures (2 CFU) during which the instructor will use PowerPoint presentations with information and images from the recommended textbooks.

Assessment Methods

The exam consists of a written exam with 30 multiple-choice questions covering the syllabus of the Human Anatomy module. Each question has five possible answers, of which only one is correct. Each correct answer is worth 1 point. Incorrect or unanswered answers are worth 0 points. The exam duration is 60 minutes. To pass the exam, students must earn a minimum score of 18 out of 30. If the exam is insufficient, meaning the score is below 18, students will need to retake the assessment. The final grade is calculated as the weighted average of the grades obtained in the exams for the integrated course modules.

In the case of specific and substantiated requests from students, other assessment methods may be considered (oral exam, written exam with open-ended answers).

Contents

The module addresses the study of the systems and apparatuses that make up the human body, with attention to the location and relationships that the organs that make them up have with each other and with the surrounding structures.
