Syllabus

Course Objectives

The teaching contributes to the realization of the training objective of the Course in Environment and Workplace Prevention Techniques to train professionals with an education oriented towards the prevention of the disease and the promotion of health in the community and in the territory.

RESULTS OF EXPECTED LEARNING

Knowledge and understanding
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- know the epidemiological trend and the preventive possibilities of the main infectious, chronic-degenerative and metabolic diseases;
- know the dynamics of the relationship between nutrition and health.

Applying knowledge and understanding
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- Know how to identify the preventive and protective measures to be taken to contain risks.

Making Judgments
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- be able to evaluate prevention strategies.

Communication skills
At the end of the lessons of the course the student will have to:
- know how to use the appropriate language to perform preventive medicine interventions

Course Prerequisites

The student must possess the basic knowledge of biology, anatomy and microbiology

Teaching Methods

The teaching is structured in frontal lessons of 2 hours according to the educational calendar. The lessons foresee a strong interactive component between Teacher and Students.
Attendance is mandatory.

Assessment Methods

Oral exam: the student must demonstrate his / her preparation by clearly and organized discussing the topics requested by the teacher.
The evaluation will be carried out using marks out of thirty.
