Course Objectives

"The purpose of Applied Geomorphology is to achieve an understanding of the nature of the forms of terrestrial survey, sufficient for engineering works to be constructed with safety, predictability and efficiency. This stems from the basic premise that the Earth's surface and basically an indicator sensitive of the most recent geological events and that its morphology is an extremely valuable source of information "(, 1979).

Lectures.
Field and laboratory activities; practices of methods of geomorphic analysis and mapping for quantitative characterization of the main physiographic units and geomorphological environments.

Assessment Methods

Final essay and oral exam.
