Course Objectives

LEARNING OBJECTIVES The course aims to analyze and explore the main aspects of the National Health Service and the management and organization of healthcare services for occupational therapists. In particular, the course explores aspects related to the efficient use of resources, effective management, organizational structure, and performance monitoring. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING At the end of the course, students will: - describe the essential characteristics of the National Health Service - describe the specific aspects of primary care reform - describe the main organizational models in occupational therapy KNOWLEDGE AND APPLIED UNDERSTANDING At the end of the course, students will: - interpret the budget sheet and performance objectives of the structures responsible for rehabilitation service

Assessment Methods

Methods of verifying learning: Written and oral examination Written test with open questions (10 questions) and grading in thirtieths. The questions are given equal weight (1 point) and include descriptive-conceptual elements (basic principles of business economics and their application to healthcare companies). To pass the test, at least 5 out of 10 questions must be answered correctly (corresponding to a mark of 18 SU 30). The written test lasts 45 minutes. The oral test, which is optional, is on the same subjects as the written test and allows you to accrue up to a maximum of 2 additional points over and above the mark obtained in the written test. In the event of failure to answer the oral questions, the mark for the written test may be reduced by a maximum of 2 points. The oral test must be taken on the same roll as the written test
