Course Objectives

Students can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. They can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. They can produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options (CEFR).

Course Prerequisites

Level B1 (CEFR) of English required.

Teaching Methods

The course will last 36 hours. Interactive activities are implemented during the lessons. Students will be engaged in exercises, readings, listening, and watching videos. If Health Laws and University regulations allow, teaching activities, teachers office hours’, and exams may take place online (in whole or in part). Assessment Methods

To achieve the proficiency, students need to pass an oral test assessing their competence in the four language skills.
