Course Objectives

To comprehend the fundamental pathological, cellular, and molecular underpinnings of major human diseases, and to understand the relationships between intrinsic and extrinsic etiological agents and their pathogenic mechanisms impacting human health.

Course Prerequisites

Foundational knowledge of molecular biology, biochemistry, and physiology.

Teaching Methods

Frontal lessons with the support of PowerPoint slides.

Assessment Methods

The examination comprises an oral assessment designed to evaluate the candidate's subject matter knowledge, comprehension, and ability to establish connections between topics within the syllabus. The candidate's presentation skills and linguistic proficiency will also be assessed.
