Overview

Date/time interval

Primo Semestre (22/09/2025 - 21/12/2025)

Syllabus

Course Objectives

Drawing is an educational discipline oriented to the communication of graphic thinking in the making, therefore students will be methodologically directed to the knowledge of theoretical and application tools necessary to understand, measure, design and represent the constructed space, through the theoretical principles and appropriate operational systems.
The various theoretical-operational components underlie the graphical-visual representation of the existing and the project. In order to give a broad and diverse picture of the discipline, so that it can assist future professional activity, it is necessary to consider the codes of technical drawing.

Course Prerequisites

Elementary knowledge of the three geometric models. Drawing cognition. Familiarity with technical computer use and notions of automatic drawing.

Teaching Methods

Lectures will be held with the aid of slides, and exercises that students will develop individually with the support of traditional drawing and computer tools. The materials produced (sketches, notes, photographs, drawings, modeling, technical tables, etc.) will, together with those produced at home, constitute examination materials. It will then be essential to submit them for periodic review by the lecturer to be finally handed in for the exam in the dual format (paper and digital). Added to the lectures is the time to be spent on the elaboration of three geometric tables and three technical tables, the subject of which, to be agreed with the lecturer, is generally a contemporary Architecture building with multiple volumes.

Assessment Methods

In the Descriptive Geometry module, two tests necessary to understand the level of learning of the theoretical issues. In addition, dates will be set for the delivery of three tables related to the three models of Geometry applied to a contemporary Architecture building designed by a master of Architecture in the last 40 years. Weekly meetings are also scheduled to review the products and clear doubts on theoretical issues. For any contact, in addition to the lecturer's email, there is the website: https://elearning.unich.it/course/view.php?id=142. At the conclusion of the lectures, dates will be set to take the Descriptive Geometry interview. This interview will consist of testing theoretical knowledge related to the discipline. The grade will be recorded on the exam date for which the student must register in good time.

Contents

The Course of Drawing and Representation 1, pertaining to CEAR-10/A Drawing, is the foundation and support of the disciplines in which the representation for the built and for the project constitute the means of communication, for this reason it is placed among the training disciplines of the first year. The course is preparatory to Drawing and Representation 2. The first 60-hour Course will be held by Prof. Pasquale Tunzi in the first cycle. The Drawing and Representation 1 (6 cfu) course addresses, with lectures and exercises, the issues of Descriptive Geometry and Technical Representation with the following main topics: 1) Standards for technical drawing 2) Dimensional planes method 3) Double Orthogonal Projections 4) Assonometry 5) Perspective 6) Shadows
