Course Objectives


Knowledge and Understanding:
By the end of the course, students will be able to understand the fundamental aspects that characterize the main theories of Economia Aziendale and the processes of value creation, with particular focus on strategic levers, performance measurement systems, and management control mechanisms. The integration of case studies from the tourism sector allows students to apply theoretical models to real contexts, fostering a multidisciplinary and operational understanding of business dynamics.
Independent Judgment:
Students will develop the ability to critically interpret key business concepts and their practical applications, acquiring autonomy in reading and assessing economic and financial data, as well as management control systems. The comparative analysis of tourism enterprises further enhances their ability to link theory and practice in evaluating value-creation strategies.
Communication Skills:
Students will develop specific communication and terminological competences, combining knowledge from business, economic, legal, and social perspectives. They will be able to clearly present the main models of strategy, control, and value measurement, and to apply them to different organizational and sectoral contexts, with particular attention to tourism enterprises and local innovation processes.


Course Prerequisites


To make participation in the course effective, students must possess a propensity to learn the conceptual tools necessary to face the complex and dynamic reality of companies with methodical rigor and a critical spirit, also from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Teaching Methods


The course will primarily rely on the following teaching methods: theoretical lectures grounded in the principles of Economia Aziendale and tourism management, combined with case study analysis.

Assessment Methods


The assessment of students’ learning will be carried out through an oral examination.


The evaluation respects the following criteria:
• Failure to pass the exam: insufficient preparation
• From 18 to 21: sufficient preparation with specific regard to the following educational Objectives: sufficient or just sufficient understanding of the contents required in the exam, sufficient or just sufficient language skills, sufficient or just sufficient ability to contextualize the issues also in the field multidisciplinary
• From 22 to 24: fully sufficient preparation with specific regard to the following educational Objectives: fully sufficient understanding of the contents required in the exam, of the property of language and of the ability to contextualize the issues also in a multidisciplinary context
• From 25 to 26: good preparation with specific regard to the following educational objectives: good understanding of the contents required in the exam, of the property of the language and the ability to contextualize the topics also in a multidisciplinary context

• From 27 to 29:
very good preparation with specific regard to the following educational objectives: understanding of the contents required in the exam, the property of the language and the ability to contextualize the issues also in a multidisciplinary context

• From 30 to 30 cum laude: excellent preparation with specific regard to the following educational objectives/learning outcomes; understanding of the contents required in the exam, of the property of language and of the ability to contextualize the issues even in a multidisciplinary context.
