Assessment Methods

Assessment is through a written test (multiple-choice test) for admission to the second part of the course, which will take place in the second semester. Each exam will be administered separately, with a different assessment and valued at 6 credits.

LEGAL MODULE (28 hours)
• Course presentation. Basic legislation on occupational health and safety. The roles involved in the process of temporary and mobile construction sites, from simple to complex projects.
• Basic standards and regulations on occupational health and safety and their evolution. European regulations and their relevance; standards of good practice; Product Directives.
• The roles involved in the construction of the project: tasks, obligations, civil and criminal responsibilities. Coordination on the construction site. The framework law on public works and the main implementing decrees.
• Specific legislation on health and safety on temporary or mobile construction sites and in working at heights. The Consolidated Law on Health and Safety in the Workplace, with particular reference to Title I.
• The parties involved in the Company Prevention System: the employer, the manager, the RSPP (Health and Safety Representative), the supervisor, and the RLS (Worker Safety Representative).
• Title IV of the Consolidated Law on Health and Safety in the Workplace. The regulation and its correlation with Title I.
• Sanctions and inspection procedures.
TECHNICAL MODULE (16 hours)
• Safe organization of a construction site.
• Documentation requirements for clients and contractors. Documentation requirements for safety coordinators.
• Electrical risk and protection against lightning strikes. Employer obligations: safety requirements - lightning protection - inspections.
• Risks of falling from heights - Scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Demolition work and risk analysis. Risks associated with asbestos remediation.
METHODOLOGICAL MODULE (8 hours)
• The minimum contents of the safety and coordination plan, the substitute safety plan, and the operational safety plan. Plan development.
• Developing the PI.M.U.S. (Scaffolding Assembly, Use, and Dismantling Plan). Estimating safety costs.

• Safe organization of a construction site and the use of planar graphs
