Course Objectives


Lo studente magistrale alla fine di queste attivita' tecnico pratiche dovra' essere in grado di comprendere come monitorare l'allenamento in diversi contesti, ovvero negli sportivi come nelle popolazioni sedentarie e cliniche. Dovra' avere una conoscenza pratica di quali sono gli strumenti di monitoraggio usati nel settore e di come valutare e individualizzare l'offerta di intervento motorio.

Course Prerequisites


Bachelor’s degree in Motor and Sports Sciences or an equivalent field.
Medical certificate of fitness for sports practice.

Teaching Methods


The technical–practical activities aim to provide students with practical and methodological skills in the fields of motor, sports, and wellness sciences, integrating the theoretical knowledge acquired during the lectures.
Active participation!
Each class will include group activities in which all students are required to take part.

Pass, attendance >= 75%

Training Principles
Introduction to the fundamental principles of training (specificity, overload, progression, individuality, reversibility) used to design safe and effective exercise programs.
Adaptation
Examination of the biological and functional processes through which the body responds to training stimuli, leading to improvements in physical and motor capacities.
FITT‑VP
Understanding of the Frequency–Intensity–Time–Type–Volume–Progression model for structuring and adjusting training programs according to goals and population needs.
Assessment
Overview of key tools and methods used to evaluate performance, motor abilities, and physical fitness, in order to set goals and track progress over time.
Monitoring (technical)
Introduction to techniques and instruments used to monitor internal and external training load, physiological responses to exercise, and quality of execution.
Parameters
Description of the main training parameters (heart rate, RPE, volume, intensity, density, strength variables, etc.) and how they are used in exercise programming.

Attendance will be taken at the beginning of each class (please bring a valid ID).
Use the attendance lists on the FAD platform.
Note: Students MUST register for only one class per block.
Attending two or more classes from the same block will not be allowed.
