Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide the student with a picture as complete as possible of the literary history and culture of the chosen linguistic field, from the end of the Middle Ages to the present day, with direct attendance of the most famous classics, with the aid of critical readings, manuals and monographs and starting with bibliographic research.
Finally, it is proposed to provide the appropriate baggage of methodology and specific terminology necessary for the analysis of the text.

Assessment Methods

Final oral exam, aimed at ascertaining the knowledge of the topics covered, the clarity of the student's exposition, as well as the ability to return a critical reading of the literary texts examined. The test will take place in Italian and the unit of measurement used for the evaluation will be the mark out of thirty.

Study of Spanish literary production from the late fifteenth century to the
end of the seventeenth, the so-called "Golden Century" of Spanish literature.
The historical-political coordinates of the period under examination will
be provided, with particular attention to ideological and social transformations.
It is also intended to offer students the methodological tools to deal with
the formal and content analysis of curricular texts.

Course attendance is optional. There is no alternative program for nonattending students.
