Contents

The course highlights how the sustainability of development involves overcoming the traditional paradigm in which the economic system and the ecosystem are characterized by a linear correlation. The economic system takes natural resources and energy from the ecosystem and returns waste. The new paradigm of the circular economy, by promoting the adoption of closed-loop production and consumption models, aims to increase the efficiency in the use of resources in order to achieve a better balance and a greater harmony among the economy, society and the environment.
