The course is aimed at various disciplines wishing to explore the representation of the role of women, starting from historiographical and literary sources, in order to create and analyze issues inherent in gender discrimination. Knowledge: Knowledge of the main dynamics of women's history, both social and economic, from the classical Greek world and their chronological contexts to the present. Making independent judgments: Students must demonstrate the ability to critically and comparatively analyze the content of the sources and their genesis. Communication skills: Students must provide clear and comprehensive communication, demonstrating versatility in historical and critical context.

There are no prerequisites.
Teaching Methods
The course consists of 21 hours of frontal teaching. Frontal lessons, exercises, seminar activities with the participation of Italian and foreign specialists.
Assessment Methods
The final assessment consists of an oral exam on the entire syllabus.
The aim is to assess students' skills and in particular, an understanding of the issues discussed during the course, an appropriate knowledge of the bibliography in the course programme, a correct command of the specific language as well as critical and methodological abilities will be evaluated.
The grading scale goes from 1 to 30 with honours (cum laude): 1-17 fail, 18-21 sufficient, 22-24 fair, 25-27 good, 28-29 very good, 30-30 with honours (cum laude) excellent.
