Abstract:
Le infrastrutture artificiali sono suscettibili di trasformazione. Il cambiamento deve oggi accompagnarsi ad una progettazione che tenga conto
della collaborazione con gli ecosistemi naturali ed i contesti sociali, prevedendo un uso limitato delle risorse. Vi è la necessità di attuare un
passaggio critico che traduca questo presupposto in progetti, operando un medium switch, un cambio del mezzo: i servizi ecosistemici naturali non sono un tramite per il funzionamento dei sistemi infrastrutturali ma ciò che li ospita e il cui funzionamento dipende dal mantenimento del sistema naturale che li contiene. Il tramite per il funzionamento dei sistemi infrastrutturali non è lo sfruttamento ma l’integrità dell’ecosistema naturale, che implica il mettere al centro della progettazione il rapporto sinergico con le infrastrutture naturali, non considerando l’ambiente e il paesaggio un mero supporto da salvaguardare ma il baricentro da cui prendere le decisioni per la trasformazione.
Artificial infrastructures are periodically
subject to change. The change must
now be accompanied by a design that
takes into account the cooperation with
natural ecosystems and social settings,
providing a limited use of resource.
There is the need to implement a critical
step that translates these assumption in
project, by operating a medium switch, a
change of means: the natural ecosystem
services are not a means for the
operation of infrastructure systems but
what hosts them and whose operation
depends by the maintenance of the
natural system that contains them. The
means for the operation of infrastructure
systems is not exploitation but the
natural ecosystem integrity. The theme
of the synergistic relationship with the
natural infrastructure needs to be the
main problem faced by the infrastructure
design. The designer must consider the
environment and the landscape the
center of gravity from which to make
decisions for the transformation and not
a functional support to be safeguarded
only by the limit of the protected areas.
