Abstract:
The Parliament of the Kingdom of Naples constituted an exceptional occasion for the nobility, both for the feudal one and for that established in the Seggi of the capital, to express assent or distrust towards the politics conducted by the sovereigns and their validos. In addition to being a time of celebrations and glittering ceremonies throughout the city, Parliament was a place of political confrontation, and retracing its history we can see how the Neapolitan nobility knew how to act with the passage of generations, remaining faithful to certain lines of action and thought or changing position depending on the situations and the interlocutors of the moment.
