Abstract:
Although environmental awareness has allowed to assimilate the concept of evolution within the dynamics of building production, today, it is still impossible to trace experiences that can be considered as expressions of a truly idea of evolutionary built environment.
Even in the field of social housing, often, the node of evolutivity has been addressed only from a technical point of view and solved through a concentration of standardized procedures, products, and practices.
Therefore, the goal of evolutivity must be investigated in its technological implications, to be declined through the multiple complexity levels of the process of design, construction, use and management of a building; thus, assuming a relational, organisational, participatory, spatial, morphological and performative connotation
