SALUCCI Antonella

Antonella Salucci was born in Rome (Italy) on the August 4th 1965.
She lives and works in Rome, where she graduated in Architecture on 1991.
Laurea (five-year degree) in Architecture (magna cum laude), University “La Sapienza” of Rome, Italy, on July 1991. The graduation project has been published.
Ph. D. in “Building Surveying and Representation”, University of Ancona, Italy, 1993-1996.
Postdoctoral Fellow, University of Ancona, Italy, 1996-1997.
Assistant Professor in Architectural Drawing, University “Gabriele d’Annunzio” of Chieti - Pescara, Italy, since 2002.
Visiting lecturer, University of Arkansas Rome Center, Rome, Italy, from January 2010
In the years following graduation, the scientific work was mainly performed in the University of Ancona at the IDAU Institute of Architecture and Urban Design, Faculty of Engineering, under the direction of prof. Carlo Mezzetti. Since 1997 she carries out research in the DSSARR Department of Science, History of architecture, Restoration and Representation of UdA, participating in University and national interest research projects co-financed by MIUR as well as research for third parties.

The research was directed towards the many issues relating to comunication and architectural representation. The main topics investigate are: history of architectural drawing and survey, tools and methods for detecting architectural and urban design, relationship between architecture and digital technologies.
This shows a constant activity in digital technologies and methods for surveying and representing architecture, graphics and digital reflex photography; the latter deals with many years of documenting a number of architectural tours in which she has participated including several publications.
Since april 2023 is Responsible for Photography and Scientific Director of the Draw Lab Research Unit for Photography of the Department of Architecture of the Gabriele d'Annunzio University of Chieti-Pescara.
