Curriculum Vitae

- Born in Sulmona (AQ) on May 24, 1968;
- Graduated in Economics and Business, with a grade of 110/110 cum laude, from the University of Chieti, "G. D'Annunzio" on November 5, 1992;
- Received a PhD in Commodity Sciences from the Department of Economics and Commodity Science of Natural Resources and Production at the University of Trieste, with positive results, on January 17, 2000;
- Since November 1, 2000, she has been a Researcher in Commodity Sciences at the University of Chieti, Pescara Campus;
- Since December 1, 2003, she has been an Associate Professor of Commodity Sciences at the University of Chieti, Pescara Campus;

TEACHING ACTIVITY INFORMATION
- In the 2000/2001 academic year, she was a lecturer in "Quality Management in the Agri-Food Industry" for the University Diploma in Dietetics program at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the "G. d'Annunzio" University of Chieti;

- She was appointed to provide an opinion (provided) in the agri-food sector on the appropriateness of placing a product made from wine vinegar and grape juice on the market;
- Regarding third mission activities:
- She participated in the "La Città delle Muse" Festival of Culture and Science, held in Chieti on April 7-8, 2025;
- She moderated a book presentation, held in Sulmona on May 23, 2026, at the San Panfilo Auditorium of the Diocesan Pastoral Center.
She is a referee for four international journals – JAOAC International; Journal of Food Composition and Analysis (official organ of the FAO); Italian Journal of Food Science; Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY NEWS
Since 1993, she has published 83 papers: 62 in journals (both ISI and reviewed and indexed by International Scientific Institutes), 15 at international and national conferences, 5 book chapters, and 1 monograph on quality published by Franco Angeli. Much of my research has been conducted in collaboration with scholars from other universities (Trieste, Perugia, Sassari), with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Trieste (G. d'Annunzio), resulting in numerous publications, and with foreign universities (Central Science Laboratory, York).
Research topics include the following:
1) Characterization of food products:
a) Studies on Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

2) Studies on oils and fats:
a) The volatile fraction of virgin olive oils;
b) Changes during storage;
c) a method for detecting commercial fraud; d) changes in the acid composition of fish

3) Studies on the presence and significance of phenolic substances

4) Methodologies for the technical and economic analysis of commodities

5) Studies on the significance of trace elements in the environment:
a) on ecosystems;
b) on accumulation in food and beverage products;
c) other environmental research;

6) studies on the history of commodity science, commodities, and technology

7) Studies on energy policies in the context of the Green Deal.
