Eco-GENIUM (Eco-driven Digital and Manufacturing Innovation and Entrepreneurship for the INGENIUM Alliance) aims to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship capacities across the partner HEIs, including UdA – University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti–Pescara. The project strategically combines established innovation pioneers (MTU – Ireland, UoC – Greece, UNIOVI – Spain) with motivated newcomers (HKA – Germany, HS – Sweden, TUIASI – Romania, and UdA – Italy), fostering mutual learning and institutional development. With several partners from EIT RIS countries, the consortium directly addresses Europe’s innovation divide while building capacity in moderate and emerging innovation regions. PHO (Poland), as a strategic and innovation consulting partner, ensures strong links between academic expertise and regional challenges, while associated partners enhance sustainability and dissemination.
The Innovation Vision Action Plan (IVAP), grounded in HEInnovate assessments and aligned with Smart Specialisation (S3) strategies, will drive institutional transformation. Focusing on manufacturing and digital innovation in line with EIT priorities, Eco-GENIUM leverages diverse regional ecosystems to build lasting pan-European innovation networks. By 2030, it will establish embedded innovation governance structures, active local innovation labs, comprehensive entrepreneurship pathways from students to startups, strengthened SME engagement, and sustainable knowledge exchange mechanisms—fully aligned with the INGENIUM Alliance mission and EIT’s goal of reducing regional innovation disparities.
