Syllabus

Course Objectives


One aim of this course is to allow students to manage by themself methodologies and instruments used in public economics, deeping their knowledge of a specific topic . Students are also expected to improve their skills in reading, writing and communicating in English.




Course Prerequisites


Students are expected to have adeguate knowledge of mathematical instruments for economic analysis (constrained optimization with single and multiple variable functions) and basic microeconomics.




Teaching Methods


Any student is expected to work autonomously to produce an essay, under the supervision of the Professor in charge.




Assessment Methods


Assessment of the written essay and its oral presentation.




Texts


Readings consist of scientific papers that will be chosen depending on the selected topic.




Contents


Students can deepen selected topics among those studied in the course of Public Economics.
