Syllabus

Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge relating to chemical analysis methods and quality control and to be able to select the most suitable method for solving a given analytical problem and to critically evaluate the analytical data obtained.

Course Prerequisites

To understand and become familiar with the topics covered, it is required to pass the exam in Analytical Chemistry (for CTF) and Analytical Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry Laboratory (for Pharmacy).

Teaching Methods

Teaching will be divided into lectures through the use of transparencies and Power Point, and classroom exercises during lesson time. During the course, Power Points will be provided containing the images used during classroom lessons.

Assessment Methods

Verification of learning will be carried out through an oral exam on the topics of the course

Contents

Review of the sampling process, sample preparation and processing errors. Automation in the laboratory. Definition of the areas of normality and their meaning, sensitivity and specificity, criteria for the validation of analytical methods, quality control in the laboratory and methods of implementation, complex matrix analysis techniques. Examples of analytical applications

The textbooks are recommended, the student is not required to buy them all, but the topics covered are widely discussed in the titles shown. Attendance at the lessons is compulsory. The teacher is available for further clarifications on the topics covered in class.
8 hours of frontal lessons for each credit (24 hours of frontal lesson)
To obtain the attendance signature, attendance at least 17 hours (overall) of lessons is required.
