LC243 - ITALIAN LITERATURE

The teaching contributes to achieving the learning objectives of the Degree course in Philology, linguistics and literary traditions, in particular along the following lines:

Knowledge and Understanding

-be able to carry out accurate analyses of the texts focused, also taking into account of existing scholarly views;
On completion of the course, students must:
-possess in-depth knowledge of the phases of the literary production in Reinassance;
-be capable of reading and analysing the writer’s texts, recognising their constituent elements and correctly placing them in their time and cultural context.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding

On completion of the course students must:
- be able to carry out thorough and up-to-date bibliographical research both at libnaries and online;
-To this end, students are expected to be able to consult archives so as to find an analyze critical sources.

Critical thinking skills

On completion of the course students must:
-carry out independent research and thorough studies in humanities;
-be able to supply critically grounded but also personal interpretations of the themes and texts studied.

Communications Skills

On completion of the course students must:
-be sufficiently proficient in presenting the course topics by using a suitable register and style. In particular they must employ precisely and appropriately an expressive register proper to the specific discipline.

Learning Ability

On completion of the course students must:
-be able to resort to the knowledge and skills they have acquired so as to interact in different linguistic and cultural contexts.
