Course Objectives


Contributing to Fundamental Rights and Freedoms knowledge, with regulatory and case-law practice.

Course Prerequisites

Knowledge of Public Law main issues is required. If necessary, principal Constitutional Law issues will be substantially reconstructed with the lecturer support.

Teaching Methods

- cooperative and interactive learning
- mixed analytical method: inductive and deductive
- analysis of relevant multilevel case-law

Assessment Methods

The exam will be held orally. Intermediate tests will be arranged with students.

Contents


The course critically deepens Fundamental Rights and Freedom's study in the Multilevel Constitutionalism Legal perspective. Pursuing this goal, lessons will focus on the following profiles:- Fundamental Rights and Freedoms at the crossroads between Constitutional, International and EU Law;- the Italian Constitutional Court case-law relevance;- the rights balancing process and its limits;- dialogue of Courts;- legal harmonization tools;- study of current issues on the subject, also in light of the most recent case law.
