Teaching Methods

The course consists of 36 hours of lectures. The lectures will focus mainly on the use of the following teaching methods:
- Lectures
- Participatory lecture
- Exercises: reading and critical analysis of research papers.

Assessment Methods

The assessment of learning involves a written exam consisting of 45 multiple-choice questions covering the following topics:
1. Paradigm, ontology, and epistemology
2. Structure and agency
3. Social theory
4. Qualitative methods with case studies and research
5. Quantitative methods with case studies and research
After the written exam, students can decide whether to take an oral exam, presenting a proposed research design for discussion. This innovative approach not only further evaluates the student but also enables them to "simulate" a discussion model between an evaluator and a potential researcher.
The exam procedures are the same for attending and non-attending students.
