BASA044 - METODOLOGIE DI ANALISI DELL'OPERA D'ARTE CONTEMPORANEA

Contents: Methodologies in analysis of the contemporary work of art: The course, of an experimental nature, aims to offer students the tools necessary for "reading" and "identifying" a work of art produced in the timespan covered by the course in the History of Contemporary Art: from the second half of the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century. Supports, techniques, subjects represented, relative cultural context will first be investigated. Then most of the course will be devoted to refining the techniques for "identification" of the work of art, so as to enable identification of period, location of production and creator. Attendance is strongly recommended.
