Syllabus

Course Objectives


To provide students with fundamental knowledge of the ecology of human-modified environments, focusing on the effects of human activities on terrestrial ecosystems. To understand the role of biodiversity and ecosystem services in maintaining environmental quality and human health according to One Health and Planetary Health approaches.

Course Prerequisites


No specific prerequisites are required. Basic knowledge of biology is recommended.

Teaching Methods


Lectures.
Case-study discussions.
Analysis of examples from urban, agricultural, and peri-urban environments.

Assessment Methods


Multiple-choice test: 30 questions with 5 answer options, only one is correct. Scoring: +1 for each correct answer. Minimum passing grade: 18.
