Abstract:
SIGNATURE ORDERINGS AND INTERACTIVE RE-CONFIGURATIONS
The idea of devoting a new monographic issue to the valences of drawing in architectural archives confirms the focus on a research topic that is assuming a growing interest, also in relation to the different study approaches addressed to valorization through interactive and innovative information. It is no coincidence that the triple curatorship derives from the sharing of the experiences conducted on the topic in synergy with the institutions in charge of protection, which, in a critical way, unites multidisciplinary comparisons and debates on the subject, but above all aims to provide dynamic and innovative research directions. The project: Drawing in Architectural Archives, conducted within the framework of a commission specially established within the Italian Union of Drawing in 2018, constitutes the operational basis on which the dissemination is based on the possible analyses that can be carried out through drawing, which can offer multiple keys to interpretation, two- and three-dimensional, overcoming the graphic boundaries of traditional media, of the drawing sheets on which they were conceived. An initial review of such research can be seen by consulting the inserted database of the UID [2] web-
site, which collects the experiments carried out by researchers in the subject area, giving insight into the contribution that graphic analysis and representation, traditional and digital, can provide in archival investigations. This is followed by issue
10 of diségno in 2022, which takes stock of the roles and disseminations of drawing through a series of contributions revolving around three main focuses: digital archiving methodologies; the renewed archive/museum pair; and digital reconfig-
urations of archival projects.
