He worked about the Applied Geology oriented to the soils mechanics, geotechnique, numerical modelling and hydrogeology. In 1997 he qualified as a University Researcher in Applied Geology producing papers related to landslides analyses and geognostic surveys. Subsequently he was involved in Applied Geology studying, in detail, items related to landslide stability and their monitoring. He was nominated Associated Professor in Applied Geology at Chieti University in 1999. He has being Full Professor in Applied Geology in 2002 December. In the present he teaches "Monitoring of geo-hydrological phenomena" at the Science Faculty of "G. d'Annunzio" University in Chieti (Italy). Further he is Director of the Laboratory of Soils Mechanics and of the Department of Engineering and Geology at the Chieti University. Now he is member of the Environmental and Applied Geology National Association (A.I.G.A.) and of the International Association of Engineering Geology - Italian Section (I.A.E.G.). Furthermore he was the Author of about 150 scientific papers.
